Population: Numerous trees were recorded in 1990 in the south-west, where the species is endemic.

Habitat and Ecology: It occurs in Acacia-Commiphora bushland, usually in shallow soil over limestone.

Major Threat(s): Habitat destruction because of charcoal production and overgrazing is a continuing threat.
