Range Description: This species occurs off the Pacific coast of Mexico south to Ecuador (Tenorio et al. 2012).

Population: There are no population data available for this species in the literature.

Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: This species is mainly found on sandy and mud substrate at depths of between 10 and 400 m (Tenorio et al. 2012). Adults of this species can grow to approx 98 mm ( but will typically be less than this.

Use and Trade: In common with all Conus spp, shells of this species are traded for the collector market.  There are no quantitative data available on the number of shells removed but prices for shells are low to medium and examples are readily available (Rice 2007).
