Range Description:This species, endemic to Colombia, is known from the Magdalena system, where it is restricted to the subterranean system of La Paz municipality, Upper Opón River basin, Santander Department. Its type locality is Municipio La Paz, Vereda Casas Blancas, Cueva del Indio (6°50'21"N, 73°05'18"W), Santander Department, at an of elevation of 2,157 m (Castellanos-Morales 2011).
