Listed as Least Concern in view of its wide distribution, presumed large population, it occurs in a protected area, has a tolerance of a degree of habitat modification, and because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category.

Range Description: This species is endemic to Mexico, where it has been recorded from the mountains near Taxco, at the Rio Balsas, Guerrero State and in the Cuicatlan Valley, Oaxaca State. Populations are known from 461 to 1,725 m asl.
