Listed as Critically Endangered because its Extent of Occurrence is less than 100 km2, all individuals are in a single location, and there is continuing decline in the extent and quality of its forest habitat.

Range Description:This species is known only from the Cordillera de Carpish, at 2,920m asl, in the Provincia de Huánuco, an outlier of the Cordillera Oriental of the Peruvian Andes. It is not known whether or not it occurs more widely.

Population:There is no information on the population status of the species, and it is known from only two specimens.

Habitat and Ecology:The only known specimens were found under leaves and under a piece of wood in cloud forest. It is presumed to breed by direct development.
