Habitat and Ecology:This perennial herb grows on north and northwest facing rocky places, in fissures of calcareous rocks of Jurassic origin.

Major Threat(s): The species is threatened by intense pasture from livestock. The population has been confined to higher places, where it is inaccessible. Competition from other plants is also a threat.
