Justification:
A restricted range species with an estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) <5,000 km² and area of occupancy (AOO) <10 km². It is now only known from two locations and the population is severely fragmented due to water abstraction leaving the species in isolated small subpopulations where they are at risk due to their low numbers and heavy bird predation. Only 60 km of stream are now estimated to be occupied by this species
