Red List Category & Criteria: Endangered B1ab(i,ii,iii,iv)+2ab(i,ii,iii,iv) ver 3.1
Year Published: 2006
Date Assessed: 2006-01-31

This species has a restricted range (estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) <5,000 km², and area of occupancy (AOO) <500 km²) across 2–5 separate locations. Water levels in Lake Yliki are declining so there is a reduction in AOO. Water pollution continues so habitat quality is declining. Finally, there is thought to be a continuing decline in the number of subpopulations. On this basis the species is assessed as Endangered.
