Habitat and Ecology: Triglachromis otostigma live mainly over mud bottoms but can also be found over sand near the shore from 2 m to greater than 50 m. A well-established species within the aquarium trade. It may have tactile sensors for use in a turbid environment where visibility is perhaps poor.
