Population: The population size is not known, but is not commonly in their habitat.
Population Trend: Unknown

Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: It is not definitely a shell dweller because of its size (8–9 cm ). It is found swimming off the sand bottom and sometimes over rock. It spawns in rock crevices. L. ornatipinnis is usually found in deep water, which explains why the fish is seldom exported.
