Range Description: This species is endemic to Japan. Rhacophorus viridis viridis is found in Okinawajima, Iheyajima, Kumejima, and Rhacophorus viridis amamiensis is found in Amamioshima, Tokunoshima, Kakeromajima, Ukejima and Yorojima.
