Range Description: This species is known from central and southern China, including from Taiwan, Province of China, and Hong Kong. It has been recorded from 150-1,100m asl.

Population: In mainland China and Taiwan, Province of China, it is very common, but in Hong Kong, it is considered to be rare.

Habitat and Ecology: It inhabits seepages, low-gradient streams, ditches, pools and marshes in forested areas. It can also be found in human-modified habitats such as roadside ditches in forested areas.
