Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology:It lives in primary and secondary forest, including dry forest and forest edge, but not in open areas. It may also be found in cacao plantations. It digs subterranean burrows near temporary ponds, in which it breeds.

Major Threat(s): Apart from the impacts of clear-cutting, intensive agriculture and overgrazing by livestock, this species is probably not facing any threats.
