Habitat and Ecology
[top]
| Habitat and Ecology: |
It is associated with montane oak forest and sometimes uses bromeliads as refuges. Larvae of this species have been collected from a small stream.
|
| Systems: |
Terrestrial; Freshwater |
| Major Threat(s): |
It is presumed to be threatened by the conversion of suitable forest habitat to agricultural land. Chytridiomycosis might be a future threat to this species, as it is a high-elevation stream dweller, and declines due to this disease have already been detected amongst other species of this genus elsewhere.

Conservation Actions

| Conservation Actions: |
Due to the risk of chytridiomycosis it should be monitored carefully for this disease.
