Justification: Adenia pechuelii is assessed as Least Concern. The RAMAS® Red List version 2.0 software package was used to make this assessment. This species has a very wide distribution in Namibia. There are an estimated 30–35 subpopulations with most subpopulations being described as small (Kolberg, H. pers. comm.). Currently assessed as Least Concern, however, since most subpopulations appear to be affected by collecting, the status of this species should be monitored. |
