Bulbine francescae is assessed as Least Concern. The RAMAS® Red List version 2.0 software package was used to make this assessment.

This species has a restricted range (known extent of occurrence 625 km², area of occupancy < 50 km²) and is known from only 1–2 subpopulations. Population size is thought to be < 10,000, however, there are no real threats at present and the population is believed to be currently stable.
