Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Andean Ecuador. Known from at least five populations, scattered from Napo province to Cotopaxi and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces. The latter populations are significantly higher than the others (3000–3500 m). Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
