Justification: A shrub endemic to the southern Andes of Ecuador, where it is known from five populations in Azuay, Loja, Zamora-Chinchipe, and Morona-Santiago provinces. Recorded several times inside the Parque Nacional Podocarpus. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
