Contributor/s:
Justification: A shrub endemic to southeastern Ecuador. Known from three subpopulations: one near Macas and two further south, between Loja and Zamora. Present in the Parque Nacional Podocarpus and expected in the Parque Nacional Sangay. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorean museums. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
