Justification: A subshrub endemic to Ecuador, where it is known only from the type collection, made before 1950 on the Quito-Santo Domingo road. The type locale is not inside Ecuador’s protected areas network. Considered Endangered due to the large-scale degradation of the area. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
