Justification: A grass endemic to Andean Ecuador. Common in central and southern Chimborazo province, where it is especially frequent along roadsides. Protected in the Reserva de Producción Faunística Chimborazo. Last collected in 1990. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
