Contributor/s:
Justification: A grass endemic to shrubby Andean paramo in Ecuador. Known from at least six localities, apparently restricted to the Parque Nacional Podocarpus. Also recorded in the Fierro Urco paramo, where it grows well in regularly burned habitat. No specific threats are known.
