The plant is endemic to Cameroon where it's known from four locations. The total area of occupancy (AOO) of this species is evaluated to less than 20 km2. According to criterion B2, the number of locations and the low AOO along with habitat quality decline at at least one site due to water pollution (the site is near a town) this species is listed as Endangered.
|Range Description:||This species is endemic to Cameroon. In Cameroon, the plant is endemic to rivers in the coastal area and the South West provinces.|

|Population:||This plant has a very restricted area of occupancy and a very specialized ecology. Therefore the population is low.|
|Habitat and Ecology:||Flat aquatic herb, submerged, annual, oblate on rocks in flooded rivers.|
|Major Threat(s):||The main threats to this species are water pollution, temperatures extreme and sudden drought.|
|Conservation Actions:||None at the moment, but is in need of habitat protection through formal education and awareness of the riverside residents and stakeholders. Studies should also be carried out in order to better understand the species population and range, the habitat status and so on.|
