Justification: A hemiepiphytic liana endemic to Ecuador, where it is infrequent in the wet coastal forest and on the western slopes of the Andes. Collected inside the Reserva Ecológica Mache-Chindul and the Reserva Ecológica Cotacachi-Cayapas. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
