Fuchsia campii is endemic to the southern Andes of Ecuador, where it is known from three subpopulations. Habitat destruction is the only known threat.

Habitat and Ecology: A shrub found growing in forests; along streams and roads; and between grasslands in wet slopes of mountains (Berry 1995) (2,300–3,500 m).
