Assessment Information [top]

Red List Category & Criteria: Vulnerable D2 ver 3.1
Year Published: 2010
Date Assessed: 2009-05-05
Assessor(s): Ghogue, J.-P.
Reviewer(s): Diop, F.N., Ali, M.M. & Smith, K.G.
Justification:
This plant is represented in Gabon where it's known from one location only (Maghoungha) and Nigeria from one location (Oban). The species is not yet recorded from Cameroon. The plant is specialist in terms of ecology (rocks in waterfall), therefore its area of occupancy (AOO) is expected to be very narrow. There are only two locations and the species is potentially threatened by water pollution and dam construction. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable.
History:
2004 Vulnerable
