Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador, where it is widely distributed in the central Andes and known from at least 41 populations. Protected in the Parque Nacional Cajas and potentially also inside Cotopaxi, Sangay and Llanganates protected areas, in the Reserva Ecológica Antisana, and in the Reserva de Producción Faunística Chimborazo. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
