Justification: A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador's southern Andes, where it has been recorded in four locales. Two are along the Amaluza-Palanda road, a third is in the Cordillera Las Lagunillas, and a fourth is in an unspecified area in southeastern Loja province. Not known to occur inside Ecuador’s protected areas network, but may occur in the Parque Nacional Podocarpus. Probably also in Peru. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
