| Habitat and Ecology: |
Rare on cliffs along wadis draining south into the Noged plain; in succulent shrubland. Altitude of 30–100 m.
Kraussia socotrana is quite distinct form the African species of Kraussia in its non-winged pollen receptacle and pubescent corolla throat and narrower corolla tube. In overall facies K. socotrana shows greatest resemblance to the most geographically remote species, K. floribunda Harv. from southern Africa (Bridson 1995). |
