Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology: Common in the Haggeher mountains; in semi-deciduous submontane woodland; particularly abundant, on sheltered ridges and in the dense thicket around the base of the granite pinnacles, in the eastern Haggeher. Altitude of 900–110 m.

Similar to H. suffruticosum but larger shrub with smaller, elliptic (not spathulate) leaves with entire margins. Reported to be increaseing in the eastern Haggeher.
