Justification:
Gulella puzeyi is known from the three localities with an extent of occurrence approximately 17.5 km². Area of occupancy is not known, but is considerably less than extent of occurrence, since the species is only known from a discontinuous habitat along the coastal strip. Quality and extent of remaining habitat threatened in the long term by alien plants, population pressure and development imperatives.

Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: Known only from three localities in the vicinity of Port St Johns, on the southern bank of the Mzimvubu River. The localities border an area of ca. 17.5 km². Area of occupancy is not known, but is considerably less than extent of occurrence, since the species is only known from forests and woodland on the coastal scarp, a discontinuous habitat along the coastal strip.
