Justification:
The species has been little collected due to the tremendous difficulties accessing the Tsingy of Bemaraha. It needs more sampling to assess the exact extent of occurrence and area of occupancy. For now, the two collections give an area of occupancy of less than 20 km², qualifying the species for VU D2.
