This species is known only from the Cap-manambato, therefore its extent of occurrence and area of occupancy are extremely reduced. The species can also be made highly endangered by any natural disaster that may occur in the area. It is a highly desirable species for the commercial trade and it is prone to illegal collection. It qualifies for CR.
