This species qualifies for VU D2, as it occurs only in the Tsingy of Bemaraha and is known from one locality. Its exact range is unknown but it is likely that this species is a microendemic with a very restricted range. Its habitat, even if in a Réserve, is threatened by fire (mostly of human origin).
