Justification:
A vine or liana endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from five subpopulations distributed in the northern and central Andes. Not known to occur inside Ecuador’s protected areas network, but may be found in the Reserva Ecológica Cayambe-Coca. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species.
