Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador, where it is known only from the type collection recorded in 1980 in the Parque Nacional Sumaco-Napo-Galeras. Threats are unknown for this species, which occurs in one of the most remote and unexplored paramos of Ecuador.
