Justification:
A hemiepiphytic aroid endemic to Ecuador. Known only from the type collection, made by C. Dodson and A. Gentry in the Río Palenque private reserve. Considered Critically Endangered due to the tiny size of the reserve (ca. 100 ha) and the massive destruction of surrounding forests.
