Justification: A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from two subpopulations, one located 1–8 km north of Sevilla de Oro and the other near Pampa de Los Cedros, south of Cerro Chivo-Turco and along tributary creeks of Río Palma. Not known to occur inside Ecuador's protected areas network. No botanical specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorian museums. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species. |
