| Habitat and Ecology: | A terrestrial species, it inhabits rainforest and boulder fields at high elevations, and is often found in leaf-litter on the forest floor. It calls from tree trunks, logs, and bushes. It breeds by direct development; unpigmented eggs are laid in a string under rocks or logs in moist soil. |
| Systems: | Terrestrial |
| Major Threat(s): | The main threat to the species is habitat degradation as a result of human impacts associated with touristic activities and infrastructure development for these. However, overall, these threats are localized. Of greater significance is a predicted decline in the coming years because of climate change (C.J. Hoskin pers. comm.). |
| Conservation Actions: | The range of the species is wholly within Daintree National Park in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. |
