Justification:
Listed as Least Concern as this subspecies has a fairly wide distribution, disjunct in the easterly parts of its range, but largely continuous in central Africa. Hunting and habitat loss and degradation may pose a threat in some areas, but at present it is not believed to be declining a rate that would warrant listing in a threatened category.
