|Habitat and Ecology:||Rare in semi-deciduous woodland on granite in the Haggeher mountains. Altitude of 450–1,400 m.
Much rarer than Vernonia cockburniana Balf.f. Far less ecologically tolerant and restricted to the eastern Haggeher where it is found as isolated inviduals.
