Range Description: Found only in the Gionnet Channel and in the Takamaka area on Picard and Grand Terre. The entire population occurs within an area of less than 1,000 ha.

Habitat and Ecology: A small tree of mixed and tall scrub. The fruits are eaten and apparently dispersed by tortoises.

Conservation Actions: The islands are protected within a Strict Nature Reserve. Only Picard has a small number of inhabitants in the research station.
