Range Description: Found in the Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania.  It is suspected that this species had a larger distribution before, and that this was encroached upon by human populations.  Last collected in 2006.

Habitat and Ecology: Shrub or small tree up to 10m.  Female flowers unknown. Found in mid-elevation rainforest.

Major Threat(s): The species is well protected across its current distribution and there do not seem to be any threats in the present or near future.

Conservation Actions [top]

Conservation Actions: Found in the West Kilombero Scarp Forest Reserve, Udzungwa Mountains National Park.  Even though the forest at Lulanda is ungazetted it is under good community protection due to it being a sacred forest.
