Justification: Known only from the type collection, the area has been extensively surveyed, and this species has been specifically searched for. According to Dr. Thomas Couvreur the type specimen is not Anonidium and is probably Polyceratocarpus scheffleri which occurs in the same locality. Until this is confirmed this taxon must be considered Data Deficient. |
