Range Description: A shrub or small tree recorded from two localities in the Western Ghats and throughout Sri Lanka.

Population [top]

Population: In India it was originally known to occur in shady places along stream sides up to 600 m, but there have been no records of it since 1874. It appears to be fairly common in Sri Lanka, occurring in 66 forest sites according to surveys conducted for the National Conservation Review.
