Geographic Range [top]

Range Description:In Panama, the species is recorded as locally common around the base of the mountains in Puerto Obaldia in Kunayala Indigenous Reserve, near the Colombian border, and from the north-east of Darién Province. It is more widely distributed on the Pacific coast and in Antioquia in Colombia, although these subpopulations are, apparently, not large. The whole area is not well studied botanically and it is possible the species is more widespread.
