| Range Description: | This species is endemic to lowlands of the Guiana Shield. It is present in Bolivar State, southern Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana (Lim and Engstrom 2000). |

| Habitat and Ecology: | This bat is poorly known. Its natural history is similar to other species of Lasiurus. It has been found in multistratal tropical evergreen forest and deciduous tropical forest; also in open areas. It may roost in hollow trees and feed aerially on insects (Emmons and Feer 1997, Linares 1998). |
