Range Description:This species is known only from Texiguat Wildlife Refuge, Yoro and Atlantida Departments, Honduras, where it has been collected from 1,680 to 1,750 m asl (Townsend and Wilson 2010, Townsend et al. 2010).

Habitat and Ecology:This species occurs in intact mid elevation rain and cloud forest (Wilson and Johnson 2010). It is semifossorial, occurring in leaf litter and under fallen tree trunks or other debris.

Major Threat(s): This species is threatened by ongoing deforestation for timber extraction and the expansion of the agricultural frontier.

Conservation Actions: This species occurs in Texiguat Wildlife Refuge in Honduras. Measures needed are greater resources to refuge operations as well as policies to prevent forest destruction. As of 2012, this refuge is under imminent threat of complete destruction.
