Justification:
This species has an extremely small extent of occurrence and area of occupancy (both about 4 km²), is known from a single location and there is continuing decline due to habitat destruction through quarrying for limestone. The species is therefore listed as Critically Endangered.

Geographic Range

| Range Description: |
The type locality was at Kien Khe, Ninh Binh but the species has probably disappeared from there. The distribution of the species is narrow with about 2 km diameter. It was found again around Bich Dong pegoda of Ninh Binh. It therefore occurs at one location with an extent of occurrence and area of occupancy of 4 km². |
