Scientific Name: Eptatretus fernholmi
Species Authority: McMillan & Wisner, 2004
Taxonomic Notes: This species was described based on unpublished notes of Bo Fernholm, taken from a single damaged specimen about 35 years ago. The holotype was possibly lost (McMillan and Wisner 2004).

This species is known only from a single specimen recorded in the Philippines, that may now be lost. More research is needed to determine this species distribution, population, habitat, ecology and any major threats. It is therefore listed as Data Deficient.

Habitat and Ecology: The holotype (373 mm total length (TL)) was found on a slope at 563 m depth (McMillan and Wisner 2004). Its life history is unknown.
